Hi everybody!

Time for an update since it's been soooo long since the last one! I hope everyone is doing well during this COVID-19 pandemic, and managing to stay well and avoid the worst of this terrible, global situation. Things here have been okay, but I've been under the weather with non-COVID-19 related health things which has put a severe damper on spirits and ability to get things done lately. So, for those eagerly awaiting the next JMA instalment, my apologies. It's going to be a ways off yet, but I haven't forgotten about the story, and will be trying to get back on track as soon as I can.

The dribs and drabs that have been posted lately are really just short, near slap-dash attempts to just make something so people don't think I've disappeared, or worse.

Speaking of disappearing, Eclipse is coming, and I know so many people that are planning on abandoning what feels like a sinking ship when it does become mandatory later this month. I have certainly considered this too, but for the time being, I will endure what will no doubt be an absolute dumpster fire that replaces this well used, well loved platform, at least until something better comes along.

The better thing coming along could well be the ArtSpacious project started here on DA, with the intention of providing us all with a site which will be a worthy replacement for the classic DA. So far, the list of features looks to be on the money, and it is gaining momentum every day. They do have a DA group for their project, but given that Eclipse will probably significantly break group functionality, they are requesting people join their Discord instead, even if only to lurk and keep up with developments. Check it out here: discord.gg/j7sFKq8

I know that I am following the project with great interest, and if it does launch, I'll certainly be setting up shop over there too. Who knows, the mass exodus from DA might be enough to wake up the management people here, but I honestly doubt that.

In the mean time, bits and pieces, likely of bits and pieces, will continue to find their way up here whenever I can, and as always, stay tuned for the next big launch, whenever that might be!

Stay safe!

It's the time for seasonal celebration again! No matter which of the events you celebrate, I hope that you all have a fabulous time with friends and family, and that there is an abundance of love, happiness and cheer!

Thanks to all of you who watch me here on DA for enduring another year of my really quite bad record for getting things done. It's been a really tumultuous year for many reasons, so thanks for hanging in there through long silences and my swag of excuses for being behind schedule.

Also, a very big thanks to all my dear friends who have been by my side when I needed them, especially this last year. I'm sure they know who they are, and I owe big hugs to each and every one of them.

Content plans? Nothing epic in what's left of this year. Stay tuned for 2020 being the year of more chapters of things! When, you ask? Heck no, I'm not saying that! Hopefully early though!

Anyhow, enough of my rambling. Have a wonderful silly season! Celebrate it in style, and enjoy the festivities!

It's probably not the good news you've all been hoping for though!

No, Jessica's Modern Art 10 is not done, and I am sad to say it won't be done before the end of this year. Too many things have come up lately that have utterly handbraked steady progress on the project, as well as many others. I am working on it when I can though, and I'll push on as quickly as I can. Maybe even launch it in two parts (hehe, appropriate) so that there's at least something out!

So, what is the good news then, you ask?

Well, that's two fold. Firstly, I've had quite a few people get in touch over the years, seeking advice to help them make 3D rendered work similar to mine. Up until now, I haven't really been able to offer much in the way of advice other than to play around and see what you can make in certain apps. But now, I have a solution for those budding 3D renderers that want to put Genesis 8 Female though some detachability situations.

I'm happy to present my first product:

Divisible for Genesis 8 Female by Ms-Frankie

It's available over on the Renderosity Marketplace! Check it out here: www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/di…

Secondly, is news of a more personal nature. It's something that will definitely need an explanation after today, and a bit difficult to talk about openly, but is really quite important to me. It will also probably go some way to explaining why I've been so unreliable in posting lately.

So there we go, that's all out on the table now. Thanks for bearing with me on all of this. I'll get back to the rendercave now and get back to work.

Ta ta for now!

We had a slight life malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?

Seriously though, all of you waiting on the next chapter of something deserve an update.

So, life got crazy for a while and I lacked both the time and the motivation to do much of anything. Been a bit of a rocky road lately, but hopefully things are set to improve again. Jessica's Modern Art 10 is still the next large release to expect, but there is going to be no date given on when to expect it. I might release it as parts 10a and 10b so that you all get at least something there to break the drought. But, we'll see how well my life wants to cooperate with that ambition.

In the mean time, dribs and drabs will flow out as usual. And, as usual, I won't be taking requests or commissions since I just have too much on my plate as it is already.

So, really sorry about the chain of delays going on, but such is life.

Yeah, so I've skipped a whole bunch of updates lately. Things got busy, but content still managed to keep flowing. Besides, if there's not anything particularly amazing worth remarking on, there isn't much point in journal posts, right?

So, progress report. Jessica's Modern Art 10 is still in the making, and as the broken-record of my journal posts will tell you, it's gonna continue to be late. Things always seem to truck along better for me when there is absolutely no expected delivery date it seems, so I'm sorry to disappoint but this one isn't likely to land in 2018. Progress is progressing, and it's really just down to time now.

In other news, it's becoming increasingly apparent that the old faithful rendering companion that is Poser is on the steady decline. I've been playing around with the latest version of Daz Studio lately, and I am impressed enough that I'm seriously considering migrating away from Poser and adopting Daz Studio full time. So, unless there's a new version of Poser with game changing features lurking out there that's just about to drop, it might be time to embrace the change and get on with it. It's just a lot of work to put in to reconfigure most of the figures, props and scenes to work properly. On the plus side, I think the rendering quality from the Daz Studio Iray engine is a serious step up, and the render times are massively reduced too.

So, with nothing else that's ready to reveal at the moment, I'll slink off back to the render cave, and keep at it.

Cheers!
